TRAC Staff Associate/Spokesperson



Washington, DC

POSITION: Staff Associate/Spokesperson. TRAC, a non-profit organization devoted to educating and advocating for consumer interests in telecommunications, is seeking a staff associate to research and report on long distance rates and industry trends. The Staff Associate/ Spokesperson will produce reports on long distance rates and other trends in telecommunications in order to educate consumers. Responsibilities include: researching and developing reports, drafting press releases, promoting research reports on the Internet and in relevant publications, conducting media interviews and responding to inquiries.

REQUIREMENTS: Degree in communications, public administration, economics or government, excellent research, writing and oral communication skills, and experience using the Internet. Familiarity with telecommunications and emerging technology policy issues strongly preferred. Experience working with the press a plus.

SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary in the mid-$20's, plus bonus based on performance. Individual health and dental insurance and profit sharing pension plan.
