TRAC ENTERS THE E-COMMERCE AGE

TRAC Publications Available for on-line Ordering -- Chart Update Released

We've entered the e-commerce age!

In response to member and public demand, TRAC is pleased to announce that consumers can now order publications on-line, with delivery via PDF file or US mail.

TRAC’s TeleTips™ Long Distance Comparison Charts are the only shopping basket comparisons of the leading long distance services for consumers.  Published since 1984, these widely acclaimed consumer materials have helped thousands of consumers make smart choices for their telephone service.

The charts are now available on-line by going to http://www.trac.org/publications.  Consumers order by entering their credit card number into a secure system.  Upon verification of the card number, the consumer will receive the publication via e-mail (same day usually), or if preferred by US mail.  In addition to TeleTips™ long distance comparison charts, TRAC offers publications on how to shop for directory assistance, how to select a cell phone, how to save money on using the Internet, and more.

TRAC publications are free to members.  Members accessing the site need only type the word “member” in the credit card order form, and the publication will be sent free of charge.   To become a member of TRAC either go to the TRAC web site, or send $25 with your name and address to TRAC, PO Box 27279, Washington, DC 20005.

TRAC is also pleased to announce that we have updated our Residential Long Distance Comparison Chart.  New plans have been introduced since our last publication in May and there have been changes to existing plans.  We urge you to check if there have been changes to your plan, as well as whether any of the new plans would be a better option for you.   While the AT&T Dial 1 Standard Plan has gone up in price for every type of caller, AT&T has also introduced an entire new set of lower priced basic rate plans.

It’s time for consumers to get a “long distance check-up” and get the updated TRAC Tele-Tips™.  Get it on-line today!
